What I Wore In New York

Have you ever had one of those weeks where it’s one bad situation to worst? Well that was my situation last week. Preparing for a major hurricane can be quite stressful and through it all I wasn’t feeling my best. Little did I know, one phone call was about to change everything. Without planning I found the opportunity to fly to New York for Fashion Week. Excited with joy, I quickly packed a few outfits and of course my favorite Canon camera with lenses and off I was to New York.

When I arrived, I first fell in love with the weather. It was a cool seventy-two degrees with very little humility. I really felt autumn was on the horizon and I really loved watching people look busy and doing something. Despite not feeling too well I took it upon myself to enjoy this out of the blue trip.

I started my first day wearing one of my favorite blazers. Blazers are in for the upcoming Autumn season. I paired with Applique Ripped Stair-step skinny jeans, black tank top, slip-on sneakers and navy blue bag.

As the day progressed in to night, I changed into a more fun outfit like this faux leather jumper and statement bomber jacket.

The next outfit, is the same bomber jacket worn with a plain V-neck top, faux leather mini skirt, Louis Vuitton “Neverful” tote bag and my favorite pair of mules. Simple yet comfortable for shopping in the Big Apple.

I woke up a couple days later feeling a little chilly. I’m used to a warmer climate around this time of year, so I tend to feel cold quite easily. I wore stylish studded leggings, knit sweater and a beanie.

Can never go wrong with a clash of denim on denim.

My last favorite outfit, is this head-turner wide legged polka-dotted pants. I paired it with a simple black top as I get ready to roam the streets of fashion.

Overall, things might not always go how we planned but there’s always a reason to everything. Most of the time it makes us physically move. Just go with the flow while looking and feeling confident and fabulous.
