How To

Time To Collaborate, Not Compete

International Women's Day

International Women's Day

Happy Sunday, Beauties!

In honor of  International Women’s Day, it’s a good time to remember to collaborate and not compete.

Women’s Day represents the celebration and appreciation of women throughout history and across the nation.

Thoughtout the years, I’ve witness some women, especially black women cut and bash other women just to validate themselves and put their fellow black sisters down. Or worst, advise others not to support another woman’s talent just to make themselves feel superior. However, it shouldn’t be that way.

A couple weeks ago, I attended a get together with The South Florida Black Bloggers which was hosted by Ms. Laura Charles

International Women's Day

I was so happy and delighted to see a beautiful group of black women bloggers who were so supportive. I met ladies from various niches such as: lifestyle, travel and fashion, just to name a few.

The world of blogging can sometimes have its challenges but I loved how we all respected and admired each others work and talents. It was so refreshing to talk, laugh and share information from one another. I felt I’ve met my tribe of positive and uplifting group of black women who are simply collaborating and not competing or judging.

Overall, on this beautiful International Women’s Day, let us women take this time to celebrate and uplift our fellow sisters. As women, we sometimes have a lot of other elements competing against us. Let’s  use positive energy to grow and collaborate with one another.

Until next time Beauties, stay FABULOUS!
