Termas de Jahuel Hotel and Spa is located about 100 miles of Santiago near Santa Maria.
They’re well known for their thermal mineral spas and massages.
On our way up the hills and curvy roads, I couldn’t help but notice the soaring mountains, vineyards and spiky cactus plants from the distance.
Once checking in and settling down into this beautiful sanctuary, my husband and I started our day with an hour massage and dipping in one of Termas de Jahuel relaxing mineral pools.
Day one mainly consisted of relaxing and rejuvenating after our eight hour flight from Miami.
I was intrigued by the mountain views, the crisp cool air and the sounds of nature all around me.
The experience allows you to forget any worries and troubles going on outside of your element.

It’s actually my first time seeing mountains up closed being in such a high elevation.
I had phenomenal time exploring my surroundings.
By the way, if you enjoy playing golf, Tarmas de Jahuel has a mini putt putt golf coarse overlooking spectacular mountain views.
After an hour horseback riding and playing a game of golf, I had mild symptoms of hypothermia.
Shivering and difficulty breathing.
Thanks to my husband and my friend which I’m going to call Rose helped me back into the room to help me get warm and hydrated.
After eating something at the hotel, drink lots of water and getting a good night rest, I felt better the next day.
Plus, the hotel has a few beautiful sitting rooms with warm fireplaces.
Here are a few recommendations if you plan on traveling to Chile and being outdoors:
- Drink plenty of water prior to traveling and during your stay.
- Get lots of rest
- Bundle up. April is the beginning of Fall in Chile and the temperatures can drop quickly especially at night.
- Cut down on alcohol consumption.
Food at the hotel was good. They offer a buffet style breakfast and you can have your eggs or omelette how ever you like.
Nevertheless, if you enjoy activities such as hiking, horseback riding or just being in nature or perhaps you simply want to relax in a mineral pool and get pampered to a nice massage, then Termas de Jahuel is the right place to visit.
Overall, my 48 hours at Jahuel Hotel and Spa was memorable.
Enjoyed seeing the true beauty of nature and also knowing my limits when it comes to being in high altitudes.
I would definitely come back to Termas de Jahuel Hotel and Spa.
Stay tuned for more adventures in Latin America.
Next up…Argentina.
Until next time, stay FABULOUS!
